We are delighted to introduce our ceramic matchboxes on Faire!
Conceived by our founder Inhee, these handcrafted porcelain matchboxes offer a contemporary take on an everyday object. Inspired by the art of trompe-l’œil, each piece combines functionality, craftsmanship, and playful design.
The "Make A Wish" porcelain matchbox features an original illustration hand-drawn by Inhee, then applied to the porcelain using a ceramic printing technique.
Faithfully reproducing the shape of a traditional matchbox, it consists of an outer porcelain sleeve and a sliding inner drawer. Two striking surfaces, placed on each side of the inner drawer, allow it to be used just like a real matchbox. Matches are not included.
Beyond its use as a matchbox, the ceramic drawer can also serve as a small jewelry box or a place to store small items and treasures.
Each piece is handcrafted from porcelain and finished with a clear glossy glaze. Due to the artisanal manufacturing process, slight variations in shape and finish may occur, making each piece unique.
