We are delighted to introduce our ceramic matchboxes on Faire!
Conceived by our founder and designer Inhee, these handcrafted porcelain matchboxes offer a contemporary take on an everyday object. Inspired by the art of trompe-l'œil, each piece combines functionality, craftsmanship, and playful design.
The "You're My Favorite Person" porcelain matchbox features an original hand-drawn illustration by Inhee, applied to the porcelain using a ceramic printing technique. Opening the drawer reveals an illustration of a couple inside, like a small hidden detail.
Faithfully reproducing the shape of a traditional matchbox, it consists of an outer porcelain sleeve and a sliding inner drawer. Two striking strips, placed on each side of the drawer, allow it to be used as a real matchbox. Matches are not included.
Beyond its use as a matchbox, the ceramic drawer can also serve as a small jewelry box or a place to hold small objects and treasures.
Each piece is handcrafted from porcelain and finished with a glossy transparent glaze. Due to the artisanal manufacturing process, slight variations in shape and finish may occur, making each piece unique.
