Tai Rittichai, born and raised in Bangkok, moved to California after her studies and noticed that the American market lacked costume jewelry with the finish of fine jewelry. She began selling her first bracelets at the Santa Monica flea market and was soon discovered by trendy Los Angeles boutiques. The brand was officially launched in 2002.
