Each piece comes from the village of Tunis, an oasis two hours from Cairo where pottery has been the sole livelihood of the village since the 1980s. Made on a kick wheel from Aswan clay and hand-painted on a white glaze, their palm tree and other motifs have become iconic and we never tire of them!
