Founded in Paris in 2008 by designer Pascale Bertea, Room Service draws on her travels and her love for antique jewelry to compose decidedly bohemian collections: a mix of stones and colors, references to ancestral craftsmanship, long necklaces, and amulets and charms to stack. The semi-precious stones—tourmalines, turquoises, onyx, amazonite, freshwater pearls—are hand-cut and set by artisans in Jaipur, the 24-karat gold plating is done in Paris, and the final assembly takes place in the boutique-workshop at 52 rue d'Argout. The hand-cutting process makes each piece slightly different from the next.
