Tai Rittichai, born and raised in Bangkok, moved to California after her studies and noticed a lack of fashion jewelry on the American market with the level of craftsmanship found in fine jewelry. She began selling her first bracelets at the Santa Monica flea market and was soon spotted by trendy boutiques in Los Angeles. The brand was officially launched in 2002.
